Supply Chain Officer

About the role

The Supply Chain Officer oversees end‑to‑end supply chain activities, ensuring materials and services flow efficiently and cost‑effectively across the organization. This position coordinates procurement, supplier relations, inventory management, and continuous process improvement while acting as the primary liaison with both local and international vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase requests in line with company policies and issue purchase orders.
• Obtain, evaluate, and select supplier quotations based on price, quality, and delivery timelines.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing terms to secure favorable agreements.
• Maintain and update the supplier database, monitor performance, and address any quality or service issues.
• Manage import codes, customs clearance, and coordination with freight forwarders for foreign purchases.
• Control inventory levels, implement strategies to reduce excess stock and prevent stockouts.
• Collaborate with accounting for order processing and payment reconciliation.
• Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and inventory status.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and ensure adherence to budget constraints.
• Drive process improvements and adopt best practices in supply chain management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement, supplier management, and inventory control.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for internal coordination and external negotiations.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with technical, store, accounting, and sales teams.

Required skills

• Knowledge of procurement policies and contract negotiation.
• Familiarity with import documentation and customs procedures.
• Understanding of inventory management principles.
