Supply Chain Officer

About the role

The Supply Chain Officer will support the efficient coordination of day‑to‑day supply chain activities under the guidance of the Supply Chain Manager. The role requires a solid understanding of supply chain processes and the ability to take ownership of tasks with limited training.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and follow up on local and overseas purchases from order placement through to delivery.
• Follow up with suppliers on quotations, purchase orders, availability, lead times and shipping documentation.
• Assist with the coordination of imports, freight, clearing and delivery schedules.
• Monitor pending orders and ensure timely follow‑up on outstanding or delayed items.
• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier documentation, shipments and related supply chain information.
• Liaise with the Sales and Technical teams to ensure correct product specifications, quantities and delivery requirements.
• Coordinate with the Warehouse team regarding incoming goods, stock availability and inventory‑related matters.
• Assist with stock monitoring, replenishment planning and inventory adjustments.
• Communicate proactively with the Supply Chain Manager regarding delays, discrepancies, shortages or other potential issues.
• Follow established internal procedures and ensure proper documentation and traceability of transactions.
• Support the Supply Chain Manager with reporting, planning and other operational requirements.
• Perform any other supply chain‑related duties reasonably required by Management.

Required profile

• Previous experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Purchasing, Logistics, Imports or a similar operational role.
• Good existing knowledge of the basic supply chain cycle is essential.
• Understanding of purchasing processes, supplier follow‑up, logistics and inventory management.
• Good organisational and follow‑up skills.
• Ability to manage several priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working with Excel, email and business management/ERP systems.
• Able to work independently on assigned responsibilities while remaining accountable to the Supply Chain Manager.
