Sushi Chef de Partie (Foreign Worker Visa)

About the role

Four Seasons Mauritius is seeking a talented Sushi Chef de Partie to join its culinary team. The role focuses on preparing high‑quality sushi and Japanese dishes for guests in a luxury resort setting, with the possibility of a foreign worker visa.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present sushi, sashimi, nigiri, maki and other Japanese dishes.
• Maintain freshness, quality and consistency of all products.
• Uphold high standards of hygiene and food safety.
• Support the Chef de Cuisine and Sous Chefs in daily kitchen operations.
• Assist with mise en place, ordering and stock rotation.
• Minimize wastage and ensure proper portion control.
• Keep the workstation clean and organized at all times.

Required profile

• Minimum 3–5 years experience as a Sushi Chef or Senior Chef de Partie.
• Strong knife skills and solid knowledge of Japanese cuisine.
• Experience in sushi rice preparation and seafood handling.
• Basic English communication skills.
• Positive attitude, teamwork spirit and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
