System Administrator – IT Infrastructure & Vessel Support

About the role

We are looking for a System Administrator to ensure the availability, security and proper functioning of IT systems both at our branch office and on assigned vessels. The role supports local operations while guaranteeing compliance with corporate standards across our maritime network.

Key responsibilities

• Administer servers, systems, backups and UPS devices at the branch and on vessels.
• Install, configure and maintain workstations and local applications.
• Monitor and supervise IT infrastructure operations, including satellite links, VPNs and dedicated lines.
• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for offices and vessels, handling hardware, software and network incidents.
• Implement corporate IT guidelines, manage local Active Directory and messaging, and control user accounts and policies.
• Support budget preparation with technical input and manage inventory, hardware renewal and license administration.
• Prepare local technical documentation and assist with infrastructure projects and upgrades.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in systems/server administration.
• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, backups, Active Directory and cybersecurity principles.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, network and server issues.
• Experience supporting remote sites and vessels, ensuring operational continuity.
• Excellent organizational, problem‑solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
