Team Leader – Tender Department

About the role

The Team Leader – Tender Department will oversee the end‑to‑end tendering process for FTM Mauritius Ltd, ensuring all submissions meet regulatory and client requirements. Based in Port Louis, this full‑time position coordinates documentation, pricing and cross‑functional inputs to secure successful bids.

Key responsibilities

• Identify tender opportunities and manage the complete tender lifecycle from preparation to submission.
• Coordinate and compile tender documentation, technical and commercial information from suppliers and internal departments.
• Analyze tender specifications, develop pricing models, conduct cost and margin analysis.
• Monitor deadlines, track tender status, and maintain accurate records and databases.
• Lead, mentor and develop the tender team, driving continuous process improvements.
• Collaborate with sales, management and other stakeholders to align tender strategies with business objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing public and private sector tenders, from preparation through follow‑up.
• Strong attention to detail in documentation, compliance and regulatory review.
• Ability to lead a team, coordinate cross‑functional inputs and meet strict deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply‑chain, management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of healthcare, pharmaceutical, laboratory or FMCG sectors is an advantage.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Port Louis and adapt to changing market requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with tender management software or ERP systems.
• Advanced spreadsheet modelling for pricing and cost estimation.
