Trade Sales Executive

About the role

ER Aviation, the General Sales Agent of South African Airways, is looking for a commercially driven Trade Sales Executive to lead passenger sales and strengthen travel trade and corporate relationships in Mauritius. The role will focus on growing revenue, market share and overseeing daily operations of the sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and implement sales plans and strategies to achieve revenue targets.
• Develop and manage a portfolio of corporate clients and travel agencies through regular visits and relationship building.
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations, workshops and represent the airline at market‑specific trade shows.
• Recommend promotional actions based on market feedback and competitor activity.

Required profile

• Diploma in Sales with at least 3 years of relevant sales or aviation experience.
• Strong knowledge of airline reservations, ticketing, fare structures and Global Distribution Systems, preferably Amadeus.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation and communication skills in English and French.
• Commercially minded, customer‑focused and able to analyse sales performance and market trends.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Amadeus (GDS) for airline reservations.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications.
