Trading Associate – Front Office Execution

About the role

HSBC Global Markets is seeking a Trading Associate to join its front‑office team in Mauritius. The role focuses on timely and accurate trade execution, pricing, market making and active risk management for the bank’s targeted clients.

Key responsibilities

• Execute trades accurately and promptly for assigned client segments.
• Provide pricing to sales teams and clients in line with HSBC policies.
• Maintain risk positions within the bank’s risk appetite and manage cash, fixed‑income and trading risks.
• Achieve revenue, hit‑ratio and return targets set by management.
• Review daily and monthly reports and cover additional desks as required.
• Ensure transactions deliver fair outcomes and comply with market conduct rules.
• Complete mandatory Anti‑Money Laundering and sanctions training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, finance or a related field.
• ACI dealing certificate is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of financial products, market mechanisms and mathematics.
• Ability to handle pressure and adverse situations with maturity.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
