Trainee ICT Support Officer

About the role

Join our ICT team as a Trainee ICT Support Officer and gain hands‑on experience across a wide range of IT disciplines, from user support to networking, cybersecurity and emerging AI technologies. You will work closely with the IT Lead and senior staff, developing practical skills that will launch your long‑term ICT career.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line technical support to end users.
• Install, configure and maintain ICT hardware and software.
• Support LAN/network infrastructure, including RJ45 termination and patch‑panel management.
• Manage user accounts, access permissions and ICT asset documentation.
• Assist with system updates, patching, backups and recovery procedures.
• Participate in cybersecurity monitoring, incident response and endpoint security tasks.
• Research new technologies and contribute ideas for process improvement.
• Support awareness initiatives for ICT, cybersecurity and data protection.

Required profile

• Minimum HSC with an A‑Level pass in Computer Studies.
• Practical exposure to LAN/network support and basic Microsoft 365/Exchange Online usage.
• Curiosity, responsibility, organization and a strong desire to learn.
