Treasury Accountant

About the role

The Treasury Accountant will support DHL Global Forwarding’s treasury function in Port‑Louis, ensuring accurate cash management, banking operations and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily cash‑management activities, record cash positions and reconcile bank statements.
• Post bank and payment transactions to the general ledger and ensure accurate remittance advice distribution.
• Prepare and analyse cash‑flow reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Process payments through the bank portal, monitor clearing status and resolve payment queries.
• Maintain and archive physical and electronic treasury records.
• Support month‑end closing, accounting and reporting in line with IAS/IFRS and local GAAP.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address escalated issues and ensure compliance with treasury standards.

Required profile

• Strong analytical ability with high attention to detail.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to interpret financial data and work under tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IAS/IFRS principles.
• Familiarity with local GAAP.
• Experience with cash‑management systems and bank portals.
