Treasury and Payroll Specialist

About the role

HFM, a multi‑asset broker, is looking for a Treasury and Payroll Specialist to support its finance operations. The role combines cash‑management duties with end‑to‑end payroll processing, ensuring accurate payments and strong financial controls.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily bank balances, prepare cash‑position reports and maintain short‑ and medium‑term cash‑flow forecasts.
• Process supplier, salary, tax and other payments, ensuring proper documentation and authorisation.
• Perform bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and coordinate with banks on transfers, FX transactions and account administration.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities, prepare treasury schedules and reports for management and auditors.
• Prepare and process monthly payroll, review attendance, overtime, bonuses, deductions and maintain employee payroll records.
• Ensure payroll deductions and employer contributions comply with legislation, submit statutory returns and reconcile payroll to the general ledger.
• Issue payslips, respond to employee queries and assist with internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in treasury, payroll, accounting or a similar finance role.
• Practical experience with payroll processing and bank reconciliations.
• Accounting or payroll certification is an advantage.
