Valet – Guest Services & Housekeeping

About the role

The Valet will support the resort’s housekeeping operations by cleaning, supplying and providing services for guest rooms, suites, corridors and garden areas. The role ensures that all guest spaces meet One&Only’s high standards and contributes to overall guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Attend duty on time in correct uniform and maintain a well‑groomed appearance.
• Participate in daily briefings and follow resort standards and procedures.
• Clean guest corridors, garden borders, empty ashtrays and ensure wet floors are dry.
• Re‑stock pantries with linen to the required par level and replenish guest rooms.
• Prepare and maintain the daily cleaning service bag and complete task control sheets.
• Report any malfunctioning equipment, incidents, lost‑and‑found items, safe issues or unusual guest behaviour to the supervisor.
• Adhere to the resort’s key control, health and safety policies and attend required training.
• Work a rotating roster that includes mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnight shifts, weekends and public holidays as per Mauritian law.

Required profile

• Ability to follow instructions, work independently and as part of a team.
• Good knowledge of the layout of guest rooms, corridors and housekeeping storage areas.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to operational demands.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest service.
