Veterinary Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Veterinary Assistant to join our modern clinic in Floréal, Mauritius. You will work side‑by‑side with veterinarians and the clinical team to ensure high‑quality care for companion animals and support our broader services for farms and parks.

Key responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during consultations and procedures, handling animals safely.
• Prepare examination and treatment rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain a clean environment.
• Monitor patients, record observations, and update clinical records accurately.
• Interact with clients, explain treatments and home‑care instructions, and answer routine questions.
• Schedule appointments, manage front‑desk tasks, and help coordinate clinic workflow.

Required profile

• Strong animal handling and basic nursing skills.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service orientation.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow clinical protocols.
• Comfort working in a fast‑paced, team‑based environment.
• Basic computer literacy for appointment and record management.
