Vulnerability and Patch Management Specialist

About the role

The Vulnerability and Patch Management Specialist will own the end‑to‑end patch lifecycle, from vulnerability assessment through testing, deployment and monitoring. You will work closely with clients, stakeholders and cross‑functional teams to ensure security patches are applied efficiently while minimizing business disruption.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and prioritize remediation across infrastructure, endpoints, servers and applications.
• Coordinate and execute patch deployment using approved tools and processes.
• Collaborate with IT client teams to enforce patch management policies and procedures.
• Test patches for compatibility and stability before rollout.
• Generate reports on patch compliance, system performance and remediation progress for senior leadership.
• Support incident response activities related to patching or vulnerabilities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve patch‑related issues in partnership with other teams.
• Ensure all patch activities align with change‑management and risk‑assessment processes.
• Identify gaps, emerging threats and propose continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Assist with security audits and technical evaluations of patch‑related controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in patch management, vulnerability remediation or a comparable role.
• Strong communication skills in both French and English.

Required skills

• Experience with vulnerability assessment tools such as Qualys or Nessus.
• Proficiency with patch deployment solutions like SCCM, WSUS or Tanium.
• Hands‑on knowledge of patching Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.
