Warehouse Helper (Driver Backup)

About the role

This position supports safe, accurate and timely delivery of goods by assisting the driver on loaded runs and handling warehouse tasks. The helper also acts as a backup driver when needed to ensure uninterrupted transport operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the driver on heavily loaded delivery runs: load, unload, secure goods and handle them with care.
• Prepare daily deliveries with the driver, verify products, references and quantities before loading.
• Count and report any discrepancies during pick‑up and delivery.
• Clean the delivery vehicle daily and flag maintenance issues.
• Step in as driver when the regular driver is absent, driving safely.
• Receive goods and store them in allocated areas following storage instructions.
• Handle goods and equipment in cold rooms, reporting damage or spoilage.
• Maintain clean and tidy warehouse premises and perform scheduled cleaning.
• Support the storekeeper in stock organization and counting.
• Use materials and consumables sparingly to control costs.

Required profile

• Theoretical knowledge (Form III) or prior professional experience.
• Valid driving licence (private car minimum; truck licence advantageous).
• Previous experience in goods handling, warehouse or delivery activities.
• Good command of English and French.
