Accountant - Fund Services

About the role

Ocorian is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its Fund Services team. You will support directors, managers and administrators by processing accounting records, preparing complex financial statements and management accounts, and coaching junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Manage an allocated portfolio of fund service clients and ensure timely delivery of bookkeeping entries.
• Prepare and post final entries required for complex financial statements and management accounts.
• Liaise with clients to meet service expectations and deliver high‑quality output.
• Prepare complex reconciliations, including investments, cash and other balances.
• Review and finalize VAT returns for both simple and complex clients.
• Produce annual financial statements in line with the relevant accounting standards.
• Review work of junior staff, provide guidance and ensure compliance with policies.
• Assist with ad‑hoc accounting projects as required.

Required profile

• Strong background in accounting with experience in fund services or similar environments.
• Ability to prepare and review complex financial statements and management accounts.
• Experience handling VAT returns and complex reconciliations.
• Proven capability to coach and review junior team members.
