Accountant

About the role

Tenfa Company Ltd is seeking a qualified Accountant to join its Finance Team in Curepipe. Working closely with the Head Accountant, you will play a key part in managing financial processes and supporting the company’s growth in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise sales invoicing and returns, and lead a team of accounts clerks.
• Review debtor ageing reports, follow up overdue accounts, and handle stock counts and reconciliations.
• Reconcile control accounts, including sales, receipts, import bills, and returned cheques.
• Prepare bank reconciliations, remittance advices, VAT returns, and weekly/monthly management accounts.
• Compile audit files and manage MRA reporting requirements.

Required profile

• ACCA qualified or part‑qualified.
• Previous experience as an Accountant or Junior Accountant in a commercial industry, preferably FMCG, food manufacturing, retail or distribution.
• Experience supervising or managing a small team.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets (VLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting).
• Proficient use of SAGE accounting software.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word.
