Accounting Associate

About the role

Currimjee Jeewanjee and Company Limited is seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Accounting Associate to join its CJ Accounting Shared Services team, providing accounting services to Silver Wings Travels Ltd. The role involves general accounting, administrative duties and supporting daily financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Record all accounting transactions accurately and timely in the company’s accounting software.
• Provide accounting and administrative support to the Finance team and participate in the procure‑to‑pay process.
• File creditors’ invoices and payment documents according to the filing system and send remittance advice where applicable.
• Perform reconciliations of bank, supplier, customer and intercompany accounts.
• Assist with customer invoicing, statements of account and follow‑up on outstanding receipts.
• Issue and record receipts from debtors, prepare bank deposits and post entries to the general ledger.
• Support preparation and monitoring of statutory returns such as VAT, TDS, PAYE and NPF.
• Liaise with banks, auditors and local authorities and respond to financial queries.

Required profile

• ACCA Level 1 qualification with 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Good knowledge of accounting functions, processes and Microsoft Excel.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
