Accounts Officer

About the role

The Accounts Officer is responsible for managing the end‑to‑end billing and collection cycle, ensuring steady cash flow, full statutory compliance, and accurate financial reporting through meticulous maintenance of management accounts and the MDA system.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare rental invoices and recharge invoices for utilities and sundry charges.
• Generate Statements of Account (SOAs) and conduct active tenant follow‑ups.
• Compute VAT and TDS, and submit filings via the MNS platform.
• Update DCT records, produce weekly DCT reports, and maintain management accounts sub‑schedules.
• Capture receipts and supplier invoices in the MDA system.
• Prepare Bank Payment (BP) files and process Purchase Orders (POs) when required.
• Prepare management accounts on a rotation basis and handle XBRL filings.
• Follow up on Treasury Bills and support other ad‑hoc financial tasks.

Required profile

• Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or a recognised professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, partially or fully qualified).
• Minimum of 2 years proven experience in an accounting or financial operations role.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, financial processes, and compliance requirements.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Experience with standard email tools.
• Familiarity with XBRL filing processes.
• Knowledge of budgeting processes and financial reporting practices.
