Accounts Payable Associate

About the role

The Accounts Payable Associate is a key member of the finance team, responsible for managing vendor payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices, prepare bi‑monthly and monthly payment runs, and dispatch remittance advice to vendors.
• Reconcile supplier statements, resolve discrepancies, maintain the vendor database, and review open purchase orders with procurement.
• Post entries to nominal ledgers, prepare monthly and yearly withholding tax returns, and distribute certificates to vendors.
• Support month‑end schedules, accruals, fixed‑asset register updates, and ad‑hoc finance projects.
• Review spend reports on the income statement to ensure no variances in the general ledger.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, ACCA preferred).
• 4+ years of experience in accounts payable, finance, or accounting with strong analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel skills for reporting, allocation, and analysis.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
