Agentic AI Architect - Technology Consulting

About the role

EY's Technology Consulting practice, a fast-growing part of its Consulting service line, is looking for an experienced AI Architect in Mauritius. The role designs enterprise-grade AI solutions and bridges business strategy, enterprise architecture and technology innovation, translating business requirements into end-to-end AI architectures and reusable patterns, guiding initiatives from proof of concept through production to scale.

Key responsibilities

• Define end-to-end enterprise AI architectures aligned with business strategy and enterprise architecture.
• Design architectures covering Generative AI, LLMs, Agentic AI, RAG, Machine Learning, Data Engineering and cloud platforms.
• Translate business requirements into architecture blueprints and reusable patterns for APIs, integration, data flows and infrastructure.
• Guide AI initiatives from proof of concept through production to scale, keeping architectural consistency across the AI/LLM lifecycle.
• Design scalable, resilient and secure architectures, including APIs, integration and cloud infrastructure.
• Define architectural requirements for MLOps/LLMOps, observability, evaluation, security and Responsible AI.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, enterprise architects and cross-functional teams to align AI architecture decisions with business needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or another related field, or any STEM degree.
• Proven experience as an AI Architect designing enterprise-grade AI solutions over the last five years.
• Track record of moving AI initiatives from proof of concept to production and scale.
• Ideally: reusable AI architecture patterns, assessment of AI technology choices, agent architectures (ReAct, plan-and-execute, tool calling, MCP, context and memory management), alignment with enterprise governance and security, and knowledge of SQL/NoSQL and vector databases.

• Cloud architecture on AWS, Azure or GCP, including Docker and Kubernetes
• Good to have: multi-agent orchestration (A2A, agent swarms), LoRA/QLoRA, AI security concerns (prompt injection, data leakage, guardrails)
