AI & Process Automation Specialist

About the role

Checkout.com is looking for an AI & Process Automation Specialist to design, prototype, and ship internal tools that automate high‑volume operational workflows. You will work closely with Disputes, Due Diligence, and Transaction Monitoring teams to replace manual spreadsheets and case queues with self‑running solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Use AI‑assisted development tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot) to rapidly prototype and deliver automation solutions.
• Build end‑to‑end pipelines that connect case‑management systems, document stores, APIs, and large language models.
• Create analyst‑facing interfaces, triage tools, and summary generators using Retool or custom applications.
• Apply LLMs for classification, summarisation, structured extraction, and decision support to reduce cognitive load.
• Embed with operational teams to understand real‑world workflows and translate pain points into shipped tools within days or weeks.
• Iterate quickly based on analyst feedback, instrument usage, and measure time saved or quality improvements.
• Document solutions and share reusable patterns across the organisation.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience building real tools with AI‑assisted development environments (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot).
• Comfortable working in Python or willing to learn quickly.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional operational teams and translate vague requirements into concrete solutions.
• Product‑mindset: treat each automation as a product, capture metrics, and iterate.
