Air Transportation Supervisor

About the role

Amentum is seeking an Air Transportation Supervisor to lead fleet service operations for a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role ensures aircraft are cleaned, serviced, and ready for departure in compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily fleet service activities, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule and meet AFI 24-605 standards.
• Assign and manage a team handling aircraft equipment handling, galley/lavatory servicing, portable lavatory and water servicing, and interior sanitation.
• Coordinate with cargo handlers, ground crews, and other stakeholders to maintain efficient aircraft turnaround.
• Monitor equipment condition, conduct inspections, and enforce safety and quality standards.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain records of service activities, equipment usage, and inventory.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate personnel to sustain high performance and compliance.
• Resolve operational issues promptly to protect schedule integrity and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in fleet service, air transportation, or ground support operations, including supervisory experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional logistics or transportation certifications preferred.
• Strong knowledge of air transportation regulations, especially AFI 24-605.
• Proven leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of AFI 24-605 guidelines and related air transportation regulations.
• Familiarity with aircraft galley, lavatory, and interior sanitation procedures.
• Proficiency with computer systems and software for scheduling, task management, and maintenance logging.
