Associate Application Owner – Open Banking

About the role

The Associate Application Owner will support the management, operation and performance of open banking applications for Absa Bank (Mauritius) Limited. Working closely with the Application Owner and cross‑functional teams, you will help ensure the solutions are stable, secure and aligned with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor application performance, incidents and system alerts, and support resolution of technical and operational issues.
• Maintain application documentation, configuration records and operational procedures.
• Ensure resilience, high availability and scalability of open banking applications, testing regularly against agreed frequencies.
• Collaborate with business units to gather requirements, drive innovation and implement platform improvements.
• Provide second‑level support for internal users, analyse incidents and coordinate with vendors or technical teams.
• Assist in preparing project documentation, user stories and test plans, and track project progress under guidance of the Application Owner.
• Manage relationships with third‑party vendors to meet SLAs and deliver fixes or enhancements.
• Participate in functional, regression and integration testing, documenting results and highlighting discrepancies.
• Promote a customer‑first attitude, supporting user training materials and driving enhancements to improve user experience.

Required profile

• Strong focus on customer service and ability to prioritize queries.
• Experience in application management and support within a banking or financial services environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with business units, technical teams and external vendors.
• Willingness to participate in testing and post‑implementation reviews.
