Associate Broker

About the role

The Associate Broker will place risks with reinsurance markets, negotiate terms and policies, and help achieve business targets while delivering a high standard of client service. You will handle reinsurance transactions professionally and respond to enquiries promptly.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quotations, endorsements, cancellations, policies and related documentation.
• Assist senior brokers with administrative and operational tasks.
• Prepare renewal schedules and contact clients within required timeframes.
• Respond to correspondence from clients, insurers, reinsurers and senior brokers within prescribed timelines.
• Take ownership of complex issues from enquiry through to resolution, managing client expectations.
• Ensure contract certainty and clarity on policy terms and conditions.
• Negotiate and secure competitive premiums, rates and terms for clients.
• Support special projects and other duties as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Finance or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in the reinsurance industry.
• ACII qualification is an advantage.
