Automotive Body Repairer – US Navy Program

About the role

Amentum is looking for an Automotive Body Repairer to join a unique US Navy program on Diego Garcia. You will perform vehicle body repairs in accordance with manufacturer standards while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Repair vehicles based on estimates and manufacturer guidelines.
• Verify parts against estimates, order and receive correct components.
• Prepare vehicles for body repair work and notify management of additional repairs or issues.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
• Wear required personal protective equipment, including respirators, and follow hazardous‑material regulations.
• Report any deviations and cooperate with team members on vehicle prep and repair.
• Comply with federal, state and local regulations affecting body shop operations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• 6 months to 1 year of related experience or training.
• Valid passport (minimum 1‑year validity) and ability to travel internationally.
• Ability to pass contract medical requirements and obtain necessary facility credentials.
• Strong organizational, time‑management and customer‑service skills.
