Back End Developer

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Back End Developer to join our Vacoas office. You will build and maintain the server‑side components that power our GPS and mobile tracking platforms, delivering reliable and scalable solutions for a variety of industries.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain server‑side applications and RESTful APIs supporting tracking solutions.
• Write clean, efficient code in Java, C#, Node.js or Python and integrate relational or NoSQL databases.
• Collaborate with front‑end developers, QA engineers and product stakeholders to deliver new features.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, optimise performance and ensure security best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, produce documentation and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.

Required profile

• Strong background in back‑end web development and software engineering.
• Solid programming and object‑oriented programming skills.
• Basic front‑end development knowledge to support integration work.
• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field (preferred).
• Ability to work effectively on‑site in a collaborative environment.
