Backend Developer (.NET/C#) – CMDB Platform

About the role

SD Worx is looking for a Backend Developer specialized in .NET/C# to own and evolve the CMDB platform that tracks infrastructure capacity, availability, assets and licensing across private and public cloud environments. The role combines technical architecture, data ownership and operational execution to deliver reliable, scalable services.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the end‑to‑end backend architecture, APIs, integration patterns and data flows for the Capacity, Availability & Asset Management platform.
• Design, develop and support .NET/C# services and scalable API‑based integrations with ServiceNow CMDB and other enterprise systems.
• Create and optimise SQL database structures, queries, views and data‑processing logic to support asset lifecycle, capacity reporting and licensing data.
• Establish and enforce non‑functional requirements such as availability, security, observability and performance.
• Align architectural decisions with enterprise standards, cloud strategy and platform governance.
• Own the canonical data model for configuration items and ensure consistency between ServiceNow CMDB and authoritative sources.
• Implement automation‑first approaches for data population and synchronization.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a hands‑on backend engineer with strong .NET/C# development expertise.
• Deep knowledge of SQL and relational database design.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate enterprise systems through RESTful APIs.
• Experience with ServiceNow CMDB or similar asset management tools is a plus.
• Comfortable working at the intersection of software engineering, infrastructure and platform governance.
