Beach Waiter

About the role

The Beach Waiter will serve guests in the restaurant, bar, lounge and, when required, in room service at One&Only Le Saint Géran, Mauritius. The role demands friendly, timely and efficient service while upholding the resort’s high hospitality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, present menus, inform them of daily specials and suggest food and beverage pairings.
• Take orders using handheld POS, record special dietary requests, and process payments accurately.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
• Serve food and drinks, refill glasses, clear tables, and reset for the next seating.
• Perform basic cleaning tasks, assist with stock replenishment, and occasionally act as a runner or answer telephone orders.

Required profile

• Minimum CPE qualification.
• Previous serving experience in a hotel or resort environment.
• Excellent oral communication in French and English.
• Positive interpersonal skills and a customer‑focused attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency with handheld Point‑of‑Sale (POS) systems.
• Basic cooking knowledge for simple food preparation.
