Business Development Manager

About the role

We are looking for a strategic commercial leader to drive revenue growth for our engineering consultancy and its sister company that supplies equipment and licenses software. The Business Development Manager will manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to high‑value tender submissions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify high‑growth sectors and build a robust sales pipeline targeting developers, contractors, municipal authorities and technology partners.
• Lead client acquisition and cross‑selling by embedding sister‑company equipment and software solutions into core engineering bids.
• Coordinate the preparation of tenders, RFQs and EOIs, ensuring technical scope and fee structures align with leadership expectations.
• Maintain long‑term client relationships, update sales forecasts in CRM and manage vendor/partner collaborations.

Required profile

• 5+ years of business development or commercial account management experience in engineering consultancy, built environment or technical solution resale.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of engineering fee models, software licensing and equipment sales margins.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems.
• Knowledge of software licensing processes.
