Business Intelligence Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to design, develop, and optimise Power BI dashboards and data models that turn banking data into actionable insights. The role focuses on advanced DAX, efficient data modelling, and seamless integration with enterprise data sources to support reliable reporting and decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards aligned with business needs.
• Build efficient semantic models (star schema, optimized relationships, reusable measures).
• Write advanced DAX measures for complex analytical logic.
• Optimise report performance through model design, query efficiency, and refresh cycles.
• Implement row‑level security and enforce access controls.
• Connect to enterprise data sources using SQL and ODBC; perform light data transformation with Power Query.
• Deliver standardized and ad‑hoc reporting for performance tracking.
• Automate reporting processes and resolve data discrepancies.
• Ensure KPI consistency, data governance, and quality across reporting outputs.
• Act as Power BI SME, support users, and drive self‑service analytics adoption.
• Explore AI‑enabled analytics such as Copilot and natural‑language queries to enhance insight generation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Business Intelligence or Power BI development.
• Experience in banking or financial services is preferred.
• Strong analytical thinking with high attention to detail.
