Business Intelligence Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst with strong Power BI expertise to transform banking data into actionable insights. The role involves designing, developing, and optimizing Power BI dashboards and data models, applying advanced DAX, and ensuring seamless integration with enterprise data sources.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards aligned with business needs.
• Build efficient semantic models using star‑schema design, optimized relationships, and reusable measures.
• Write advanced DAX calculations to support complex analytical and business logic.
• Optimize report performance through model design, query efficiency, and refresh cycle management.
• Implement row‑level security and enforce access controls.
• Connect to enterprise data sources via SQL and ODBC, perform light data transformation with Power Query, and validate data accuracy.
• Deliver standardized and ad‑hoc reporting, automate reporting processes, and resolve data discrepancies.
• Ensure KPI consistency, governance, and data‑quality monitoring.
• Act as Power BI SME, support users, and promote self‑service analytics adoption.
• Explore AI‑enabled analytics such as Copilot and natural‑language queries to enhance insight generation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Business Intelligence or Power BI development.
• Experience in banking or financial services is preferred.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Interest in leveraging AI to improve reporting and analytics.
