Case Management Officer

About the role

The Case Management Officer will work on‑site in Beau Bassin, supporting detainees and former detainees throughout their rehabilitation and reintegration journey. You will assess needs, develop personalised support plans, and monitor progress while collaborating with internal teams, prison staff and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a caseload of current and former detainees, conducting comprehensive assessments.
• Design and implement individualized support plans that include counseling, education, vocational training and community resources.
• Coordinate service delivery with partner organisations and ensure smooth transitions from incarceration to community life.
• Document case information accurately, produce regular progress reports and contribute to programme improvement.
• Participate in outreach, advocacy and community mobilisation activities aligned with the organisation’s mission.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in social work, psychology, sociology, counselling, criminology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience in case management, needs assessment and care planning.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with sensitivity to diverse and marginalised populations.
• Organisational competence, accurate documentation and basic computer literacy.
• Resilience, emotional maturity and sound judgment in challenging environments.
