Cash Recovery Officer

About the role

InfluenceUP, a social media marketing agency serving SMEs, is seeking a Cash Recovery Officer to ensure that delivered services are paid for promptly. The role balances firm financial collection with maintaining strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Own the accounts receivable function and follow each outstanding invoice to payment.
• Execute the full recovery process, including reminders, phone calls, WhatsApp messages, and personal visits when needed.
• Collect payments on the day they are due, finding alternative payment routes or in‑person collection if a bank transfer isn’t possible.
• Negotiate and document clear, dated payment plans for clients who need them.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date view of all owed amounts and report weekly.
• Protect and preserve client relationships throughout the recovery process.

Required profile

• Proven experience in debt recovery, credit control, or collections, preferably from finance or hire‑purchase environments.
• Demonstrated track record of actually collecting payments, not just chasing.
• Calm under pressure, strong negotiator, and trustworthy with cash.
• Fluent in Kreol and comfortable communicating in English and French.
• Organised, numerically adept, and results‑driven.
• Based mainly at the office with willingness to go into the field; a driver’s licence is a plus.

Required skills
