Category Development Executive – FMCG

About the role

The Category Development Executive will support the Category Development Manager in driving growth for assigned product categories. You will translate strategic plans into effective marketing actions across multiple channels, leveraging deep consumer insights and market intelligence.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of category strategies, plans and annual objectives.
• Analyse market, consumer, shopper, competitor and sales data to identify growth opportunities.
• Assist in preparing category reviews, business plans and performance reports.
• Help manage and track the category marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation and ROI.
• Coordinate execution of trade, consumer and shopper marketing initiatives with cross‑functional teams.
• Support new product, packaging, promotion and activation planning.
• Monitor category and brand performance against KPIs and recommend corrective actions.
• Liaise with agencies and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of marketing initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in FMCG marketing or category management, preferably in Personal & Home Care or Beverages.
• Proven track record in category development, brand building and new product launches.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret market and retail data.
• Creative, results‑oriented and comfortable working in a collaborative environment.
