Client Accountant – French GAAP & Tax Specialist

About the role

TMF Group is seeking a Client Accountant to support its international clients establishing and growing their operations in France. Working under the supervision of senior staff, you will handle day‑to‑day accounting, tax compliance and reporting for a dedicated portfolio of clients.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and verify accounting information from clients.
• Perform bookkeeping, reconciliations, and monitor accounts payable/receivable, bank transactions, employee expenses and payroll statements.
• Prepare French tax declarations, including VAT and corporate income tax.
• Assist in the preparation of client reports and the closing process for financial statements.
• Interact with clients on routine matters and support internal projects such as automation and training.
• Provide guidance to junior team members and ensure timely reporting to senior staff.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting.
• 3–4 years of relevant experience.
• Strong command of English and French (B2‑C1 level).
• High integrity, meticulous organization and ability to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
