Client Onboarding Officer – Mauritius

About the role

Play a key role in welcoming new clients to Ocorian and creating a seamless onboarding experience from the outset. As an Officer within the Mauritius Client Onboarding team, you will work closely with clients, colleagues and relevant authorities to coordinate due diligence, engagement agreements, regulatory applications and entity set‑up activities across a range of financial‑services structures.

Key responsibilities

• Guide clients through the onboarding journey, providing clear and professional support from initial engagement through to handover.
• Review due‑diligence documentation and coordinate with clients to gather required information.
• Prepare client engagement agreements and coordinate their completion with stakeholders.
• Coordinate client creation, billing set‑up and related onboarding activities.
• Maintain accurate client information and documentation within internal systems.
• Prepare incorporation and licensing applications through Mauritius regulatory and company‑registration platforms.
• Support off‑boarding and entity‑lifecycle activities, including preparation of relevant documentation.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Law, Management, Finance or a related discipline; professional qualifications such as ICSA or ACCA are beneficial.
• Experience in client onboarding, financial services or corporate services environments.
• Understanding of Mauritius financial‑services structures, regulatory requirements and licensing processes, including exposure to Global Business Companies, funds or trusts.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail for coordinating onboarding activities and maintaining high‑quality client records.
