Client Services Director – Business Development

About the role

The Client Services Director – Business Development will lead a globally based team delivering a full suite of fund services to an extensive client portfolio. Based in Mauritius with a hybrid work model, the role combines strategic business development with operational oversight to ensure service excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Grow the Mauritius client base through proactive business development and sales initiatives.
• Plan and allocate client assignments to guarantee high‑quality service delivery across the portfolio.
• Manage division performance, budgets, and KPIs, collaborating with senior management on financial and risk objectives.
• Provide expert advice on complex client portfolios and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, depositaries, and AIFM partners.
• Develop and nurture long‑term relationships with clients, advisers, and intermediaries, ensuring a high level of client care.
• Liaise with regulators and professional advisors to meet statutory requirements and support regulatory reviews.
• Drive process improvements and automation across platforms and systems.
• Lead the people agenda, including resourcing, performance management, coaching, and employee wellness.

Required profile

• Significant experience in client services or business development within the fund services industry.
• Proven track record of achieving revenue, budget, and KPI targets.
• Deep understanding of fund regulatory frameworks and corporate governance.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing global, cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship‑building capabilities.
• Ability to mentor senior managers and drive performance improvement.
