Commis (Kitchen Assistant) – Luxury Resort

About the role

The Commis will support the culinary team at Four Seasons Mauritius, preparing items and showpieces for guest orders and banquet events while ensuring high standards of quality, safety and sanitation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare food items and presentation pieces according to guest orders and banquet event orders.
• Maintain production requirements and quality standards in a safe, sanitary work environment.
• Assist in day‑to‑day kitchen operations and act as shift leader when required.
• Provide training and guidance to colleagues, promoting teamwork and high standards.
• Participate in briefings, communicate effectively with management and staff, and keep the work area clean and orderly.

• Demonstrates warmth, care and genuine enthusiasm when interacting with guests and team members.
• Adheres to the hotel’s code of conduct, grooming and hygiene standards.
