About the role
The Compliance Analyst will support the senior compliance team in ensuring Africa Specialty Risks adheres to internal policies and external regulations. The role involves risk assessments, client onboarding, audit checks and transaction monitoring across the company’s operations.
Key responsibilities
- Assist Sanctions Analysts with sanction screening for risk submissions.
- Conduct enhanced due diligence where required.
- Complete onboarding procedures and periodic reviews of clients and partners in line with regulatory requirements.
- Support audit and regulatory queries and participate in quarterly peer reviews.
- Handle ad‑hoc tasks, new projects, and assist in reviewing and updating policies and procedures.
Required profile
- Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law or a related field (desirable).
- Professional compliance certifications such as CCEP or CRCM (desirable).
Required skills
- Proficiency with compliance software.
- Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite.
