Compliance Officer & Money Laundering Reporting Officer

About the role

Deriv (Mauritius) Limited is seeking a senior Compliance Officer who will also serve as the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO). Based in Ebene, you will ensure the firm meets the highest standards of regulatory compliance and integrity under the Mauritius Financial Services Commission framework.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse regulatory trends in Mauritius, especially FSC updates, to shape operational strategy.
• Design, approve and implement comprehensive compliance and AML policies aligned with FSC requirements.
• Oversee ongoing regulatory compliance, adjusting internal practices as legislation evolves.
• Conduct regular policy reviews, providing final sign‑off on AML, governance and compliance documents.
• Manage internal reporting and external filings, acting as the primary MLRO contact for SAR/STR submissions.
• Lead risk assessments, internal audits and compliance monitoring programmes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in compliance, AML and regulatory affairs within a financial services environment.
• Strong knowledge of Mauritius FSC regulations and international AML/CTF standards.
• Ability to interpret complex regulatory texts and translate them into actionable policies.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to embed a culture of governance.

Required skills

• In‑depth understanding of AML and CTF frameworks.
• Familiarity with regulatory reporting tools and compliance monitoring systems.
• Experience with risk assessment methodologies.
