Corporate Legal and Compliance Officer

About the role

Eclosia Corporate Services is looking for a Corporate Legal and Compliance Officer to join its Legal Department. The role involves providing practical legal advice, supporting contract management, and ensuring compliance with Mauritian legislation across the Group’s companies.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver clear, well‑researched legal advice, identify risks and propose solutions for Group entities.
• Draft, review, negotiate and monitor contracts and other legal documents.
• Support business teams in implementing agreements and meeting contractual obligations.
• Track legislative and regulatory updates, advise on implications and required actions.
• Assist with employment matters, disciplinary proceedings and related correspondence.
• Develop, implement and monitor compliance policies, conduct checks and follow up on corrective actions.
• Coordinate renewal of permits, licences, registrations and authorisations.
• Help manage disputes and litigation, gather evidence, prepare case summaries and liaise with external counsel.
• Maintain accurate records and provide regular updates on legal and compliance matters.
• Support data‑protection initiatives and deliver awareness sessions on relevant topics.

Required profile

• Sound knowledge of Mauritian corporate, commercial and employment law.
• Strong legal research, drafting and contract‑review capabilities.
• Ability to analyse complex legal issues and translate them into practical advice.
• Excellent written and spoken English and French.
• Proactive attitude with strong judgment, attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Effective negotiation, relationship‑building and interpersonal abilities.
