Data Services Engineer

About the role

Accenture is seeking a Data Services Engineer to join its Regional Data Services team covering EMEA. The role focuses on managing and supporting server infrastructures across on-premises, hybrid and cloud environments for a portfolio of global clients.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot complex issues on on-premises, cloud and edge hosting and storage infrastructure.
• Apply patches and updates to Windows and Linux server platforms in data-center, hybrid and cloud settings.
• Perform routine operational tasks and capacity planning for server environments across multiple locations.
• Create and maintain documentation of existing and planned server architectures.
• Collaborate with customer support, network, security and architecture teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Participate in technical design reviews for new projects and propose improvements.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in IT or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience with Windows Server (2019/2022/2025) and Linux (Red Hat Enterprise, Ubuntu) at data-center scale.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• AZ-800 certification or equivalent; ITIL v3 Foundation is a plus.

Required skills

• Expertise in Active Directory, DNS and DHCP services.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Knowledge of backup and web-filtering technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and automation tools (Ansible, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions).
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, IP addressing and network topologies.
