Delegated Authority Technician

About the role

The Delegated Authority Technician supports the day‑to‑day management of Binding Authority agreements for Africa Specialty Risks Ltd. Working within the Delegated Authority team, the role ensures operational efficiency, compliance and high‑quality data handling across the portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational support for all Binding Authority agreements, tracking performance against contractual terms and Service Level Agreements.
• Assist with renewal processes, including reminders, documentation collation and liaison with coverholders.
• Prepare, review and interpret binding authority agreements and endorsements.
• Support bordereaux production, validation, and issue escalation in collaboration with BDX, Claims, Finance and Compliance teams.
• Act as a point of contact for internal technical queries related to binder reporting, data quality and processing.
• Apply knowledge of binder structures and Lloyd’s reporting requirements to ensure timely compliance.
• Maintain accurate records in internal systems, ensuring data integrity within the Policy Administration System (PAS).
• Perform quality checks, reconciliations and analysis of bordereaux data when required.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work within a regulated insurance environment.
• Good understanding of binding authority concepts and Lloyd’s reporting standards.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
