Distribution Manager (US Navy Program)

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Distribution Manager to lead daily distribution operations for a unique U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role provides full authority over contractor distribution activities, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with government and contract requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary government point of contact for contract execution and oversight.
• Manage day‑to‑day distribution operations, including personnel scheduling, work supervision, and quality control.
• Monitor cost control, budgeting, financial reporting, and overall operating expenses.
• Develop, implement, and enforce procedures to increase efficiency and cost‑effectiveness.
• Resolve operational issues, allocate resources, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of logistics or contingency operations management experience.
• At least three years as a warehouse manager or foreman, preferably on government contracts.
• Certification in Material Management and Storage Operations, including HAZMAT and HAZMIN.
• Certification as a Material Handling Equipment (MHE) operator.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet medical and visa requirements for deployment.
