Executive Housekeeper

About the role

As the Executive Housekeeper you will lead the housekeeping team at a 4‑star resort, ensuring rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces meet the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation while fostering a motivated, high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and oversee daily housekeeping operations, including guest rooms, corridors, public areas and back‑of‑house facilities.
• Conduct regular inspections and coordinate deep‑cleaning programmes and preventive maintenance.
• Lead, coach and develop the housekeeping team, monitoring productivity, performance and morale.
• Manage inventories of linens, uniforms, amenities, cleaning supplies and equipment, and control departmental expenses within budget.
• Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, safety and company policies, and handle guest feedback and complaints.
• Collaborate with Front Office and Maintenance to manage room availability, guest requests and timely repairs.
• Support recruitment, training, performance management and disciplinary processes together with HR.

Required profile

• 7‑10 years of proven experience in a housekeeping leadership role within the hospitality industry.
• Strong leadership, organisational and people‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication skills in English and French.
• Ability to manage budgets, inventories and departmental resources.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset with a focus on exceptional guest experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using hotel property management systems.
