Face-to-Face Fundraiser for Greenpeace

About the role

As a face-to-face fundraiser you will be the public face of Greenpeace in Mauritius, engaging members of the public in meaningful conversations about environmental issues and encouraging them to become regular monthly supporters. You will work across various outdoor locations such as shopping centres, markets and community events throughout the island.

Key responsibilities

• Approach and engage the public in friendly, informative discussions about Greenpeace campaigns.
• Inspire people to sign up as regular monthly donors through direct debit.
• Represent Greenpeace’s values and brand with passion and professionalism.
• Work towards individual and team sign‑up targets.
• Maintain accurate records and submit daily activity reports.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confident speaking to strangers.
• Genuine passion for environmental and social causes.
• Self‑motivated, target‑driven with a positive attitude.
• Fluency in English or French (Creole an advantage).
• Previous sales, fundraising or customer‑facing experience is a plus but not required.
