Finance Analyst – Reporting & Projects

About the role

Join Absa’s finance team to support the delivery of all finance‑related reporting and projects across the bank. You will work closely with accountants, regulators and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely and insightful financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse financial decks for flash, forecasting and budgeting cycles.
• Collate data from multiple departments, reconcile to source systems and validate for reporting.
• Prepare accruals, journal entries and support the preparation of statutory accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of regulatory returns, annual audited reports and related schedules.
• Track finance‑related efficiency projects, gather user requirements and produce presentation decks for committees.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation, user manuals and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
• Test and review the Critical Process Assessment (CPA) annually and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies.

Required profile

• At least ACCA Level 2 or a degree in Finance (or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in finance or finance project management.
• Strong interpersonal, team‑working and solution‑driven mindset.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and handle large‑scale data.
