Food Hygiene Officer

About the role

MEDINE GROUP | Support Services is looking for a Food Hygiene Officer to support the Occupational Risk & Resilience function. The role ensures the implementation, monitoring and follow-up of GAP Analysis and HACCP standards across the Food Operating Business unit of Medine and its subsidiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure food safety policies, procedures and SOPs are followed by all employees, and that documentation complies with CODEX ALIMENTARIUS standards.
• Implement and assess the quality culture for HACCP, and conduct regular internal audits while involving stakeholders.
• Lead preparation for external audits on time.
• Train and coach team members on HACCP regulations, maintain a backup within the team, and set up a yearly training plan for permanent and casual staff, staff and visitors.
• Provide reports with root cause analysis and corrective actions after internal audits, quality checks or investigations.
• Document all non-conformances, internal failures and customer complaints.
• Carry out other related duties as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the food operations sector.
• BSc in Food Hygiene and Environmental Health.
• Extroverted with a problem-solving attitude, disciplined and rigorous in follow-up and monitoring.
