Fund Services Accountant

About the role

Ocorian is seeking a Fund Services Accountant to support directors, managers and administrators across a portfolio of complex client accounts. You will be responsible for accurate bookkeeping, preparation of financial statements and management accounts, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of an allocated client portfolio and deliver timely bookkeeping entries.
• Prepare and post final entries required for complex financial statements and management accounts.
• Liaise with clients to meet service expectations and deliver high‑quality output.
• Review and coach junior team members on reconciliations, VAT returns and other deliverables.
• Prepare complex reconciliations, including investments and cash.
• Review and file VAT returns for both simple and complex clients.
• Produce annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and frameworks.
• Experience handling complex client portfolios in fund services or related finance environments.
• Ability to guide and mentor junior staff.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
