Geography Teacher (IGCSE, A Level & IB)

About the role

Northfields International School is seeking an experienced Geography Teacher to join its secondary department. The successful candidate will teach students from Year 7 through Year 13, covering the IGCSE, A Level and IB Diploma programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging, inquiry‑based geography lessons across all year groups.
• Develop and implement curriculum schemes that align with Cambridge IGCSE, A Level and IB DP requirements.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students, including SEN and EAL support.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Contribute to departmental meetings, school-wide initiatives and extracurricular activities.

Required profile

• Relevant teaching qualification and registration to teach in Mauritius.
• Proven experience teaching geography at IGCSE, A Level and IB DP levels.
• Strong understanding of geographical concepts, inquiry‑based pedagogy and assessment standards.
• Commitment to high academic standards and student wellbeing.
